Lexus Letters Become Work of Art

Lexus Letters Become Work of Art! Earlier this month, perceptual artist Michael Murphy transformed 2,000 Lexus customer thank you letters into an art installation celebrating the success of the Lexus guest experience. The 3-D installation, called “Letters,” is a 16-foot art piece that hangs from ceiling panels and a steel frame. Each letter has been turned into origami that takes the shape of the all-new 2018 LS Sedan from one angle, while it takes the shape of the Lexus logo from another angle. The piece took hundreds of hours to complete and it will be available to view at select dealer and corporate locations.

“Lexus crafts experiences for its guests with the same level of care it crafts its vehicles,” said Cooper Ericksen, Lexus vice president of marketing. “Using actual letters sent to our dealerships shows how each interaction, large or small, makes the overall Lexus experience exceptional. These experiences are the very DNA of what makes Lexus, Lexus.”

The 2018 Lexus LS Sedan fifth generation is here and staying true to its benchmarks in craftsmanship, quality and long-term dependability. The new LS features the new platform as well as an all-new 3.5-liter, twin turbocharged V6 that delivers 416 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque. Both numbers represent significant gains over the outgoing LS model’s naturally aspirated 4.6-liter V8 (386 hp and 367 lb-ft).

“The 2018 LS is one of the most important launches in our brand’s history, so it makes sense for us to use a stage like the Super Bowl to showcase it to our customers. The LS not only offers unsurpassed performance, style and luxury, its competitive pricing makes it a great value as well,” said Lexus Group Vice President and Division General Manager, Jeff Bracken.
