The Lexus LS 500 Boasts a Top Interior
The Lexus LS 500 Boasts a Top Interior! Recently Wards Auto released their highly anticipated list of the 10 Best Interiors and the Lexus LS 500 shined as one of the few luxury vehicles to make the cut! Out of 40 nominated interiors that were all-new or significantly improved from the prior year, only the ten top were chosen.
“Thank you to all the interior designers who have been urging their bosses to take chances and try colors that are less predictable,” WardsAuto Senior Content Director Drew Winter says. “We know a lot of consumers end up buying black, gray or beige interiors, but there are also a lot of shoppers who want more excitement. This year’s class of winners will make those folks happy.”
The expert judges at Wards Auto tested the LS 500 F Sport for nearly a week, praising the beauty of the cockpit, impressive ergonomics, ample legroom and comfort of the front and rear seats. Wards writes, “Similarly, the Lexus LS 500 is plush throughout, with top-shelf suede covering nearly every surface from floor to headliner, including the upswept stitched pattern on the door panels. The Lexus LS large luxury sedan wowed our judges with its unique elements, including cut glass and pleating on its doors, as well as for its superior HUD, comfort and interior lighting.”
You may remember from our initial report on the new LS that it “features the new platform as well as an all-new 3.5-liter, twin turbocharged V6 that delivers 416 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque. Both numbers represent significant gains over the outgoing LS model’s naturally aspirated 4.6-liter V8 (386 hp and 367 lb-ft).”
